Parental Alienation, a Psychological Form of Aggression, with Dr. Jennifer Harman

Dr. Jennifer Harman, a social psychologist from Colorado State University. She has spent the last decade doing research on parental alienation and has published many peer-reviewed papers on the topic, including the prevalence of parental alienation and how parental alienation correlates to domestic violence. She is also a co-author of a number of books, including the latest book Parental Alienation: Science and Law, released in April this year. Dr. Harman is also a TEDx speaker, who spoke on social biases towards parental alienation. She has testified as an expert witness in courts across the country.

In this interview, she shares with us insights from her past and recent studies on parental alienation, including a study where data were pulled from public data of appellate court cases. The outcome of her study is to be published in an APA journal and we discussed the paper here.
