In parental alienation, there is a lot of discussion about how alienators use different tactics to get the children to reject the other parents. In reality, the parental alienation strategy that alienators use is much bigger than that and it involves more than just the children. It is often a systematic and multilevel onslaught of attacks against the targeted parents, involving many people at different levels: community, schools, Child Protective Services, police, court… The results are often the alienated parents: rejected by their children, isolated from friends, family and community, emotionally traumatized, physically abused and financially drained, and sometimes, even wrongly charged and jailed.
It is important for alienated parents to understand what they are dealing with, so they can use a multilevel approach to handle the situation. It is even more important for others to understand what alienated parents are being subjected to, so that victims – the alienated parents – can get the right support and solutions.
