Below is a submission to the Hero Song Project, a campaign where musical artists who will pick from writings submitted by alienated parents and children to compose the music and perform the songs to bring public awareness of parental alienation.
One day the tears will end, just not today
One day the sadness will end, just not today
One day the pain will end, just not today
One day I’ll hold you again, just not today
One day I’ll hear your voice calling to me, just not today
One day we will talk, laugh and have dinner together, just not today
One day we will not be the way we were, but the way we were meant to be, just not today
One day I feel it’s coming soon, just not today
If I didn’t have hope in “One day” I’d fall apart everyday
